Teaching Local Civics in Your Classroom

Below are links to several suggested classroom activities that can assist in teaching how Albuquerque's City and County governments are currently structured. They will enable students to understand not only what the current structures are, but to critically think about what issues are problematic in those structures and to come up with creative ideas to deal with such problems.

We would appreciate any feedback you have on these activities, such as how they worked or didn't work in your classroom. Also, if you have any activities or projects you would like to share on this website with other educators, please contact us, as we would love to add more to this site. You may e-mail us with your comments and/or activities at: mail@sharedvision.info
